- Heath was the product of an affair that Tom Barkley had with his mother, Leah. Tom never knew about Heath.
- The statue of Tom Barkley is also used in "The Wild Wild West" episode "The Night of the Colonel's Ghost."
Goofs[]
- When Nick breaks up the scuffle between Heath and Eugene, Lee Majors accidentally calls Peter Breck by his real name. He says, "Thanks Pete," instead of, "Thanks Nick." As of July 9, 2020, in the reruns, Majors now says Nick. It's easy to edit because as he says it, his back is turned.
- On the road from Strawberry to Stockton, and when Victoria and Heath get to Stockton, Heath's horse is missing.
- Heath is wearing his own boots when he and Victoria are coming back from Strawberry, but when they get back to Stockton, he's wearing his father's boots again.
